Project Development Specialist

Amshaamsha Foundation (AAF) was registered in 2021, as a non-for-profit, non-governmental organization, with a mission to bring about transformation towards sustainability and equity within societies with innovative and environmentally friendly approaches for climate change mitigation and adaptation.

AAF continues to build its grassroots, regional and global network and develop strong programs to advance climate restoration and promote use of clean energy. We keep our doors open for partnerships with different stakeholders to ensure that no one is left behind in climate restoration. We envision to become a leading non-governmental organization committed to addressing issues towards a peaceful and sustainable world based on societies living in harmony with their environment.

We are looking for a committed and an innovative professional to join our team, and support the organization towards developing projects and fundraising for the Foundation, to develop and implement more environmental projects.  If you think you are the one, read on!

  1. Assist the foundation in the development and submission of competitive proposals of varying complexity and deadlines.
  2. Promote and facilitate cooperation among foundation staff, development partners, local communities, local government authorities, partner NGOs, etc.
  3. Review funding opportunities for environmental, climate change mitigation and adaptation, renewable energy and related fields, from different medium to remain current on funding opportunities and trends.
  4. Develop, maintain and update internal databases of donor agencies, development partners, and emerging opportunities for fundraising.
  5. Manage relationships with donors, including major donors, trusts and institutional funding, and ensure grants are effectively executed and reported in a timely and accurate manner.
  6. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  1. A bachelor’s degree required, but a master’s degree in related field is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of work experience, working in NGOs on developmental projects.
  3. Must have experience in environmental, climate change mitigation, adaptation, or clean energy projects.
  1. Strong verbal and written communications skills, organizational and time management skills with a focus on multi-tasking, and prioritization.
  2. Ability to set and work to goals and targets, with a flexible and strategic mindset.
  3. Ability to network with wide range of people from different backgrounds, professionals and non-professionals.
  4. Experience of working in global developmental projects, rural development, and an understanding of the climate change agenda.
  5. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative, with minimum supervision.
  6. Good understanding of project design, project cycle management log frame development
  7. Experience in writing and reviewing quality proposals and reports.
  8. Excellent presentation skills.
