Office Manager and Accountant

Amshaamsha Foundation (AAF) was registered in 2021, as a non-for-profit, non-governmental organization, with a mission to bring about transformation towards sustainability and equity within societies with innovative and environmentally friendly approaches for climate change mitigation and adaptation.

AAF continues to build its grassroots, regional and global network and develop strong programs to advance climate restoration and promote use of clean energy. We keep our doors open for partnerships with different stakeholders to ensure that no one is left behind in climate restoration. We envision to become a leading non-governmental organization committed to addressing issues towards a peaceful and sustainable world based on societies living in harmony with their environment.

The Office Manager and Accountant Administrator should have outstanding organizational ability, and financial management skills, to keep the organization running smoothly. S/He must be able to work independently, but be part of the small team at the organization, so expect to be involved in key financial decisions, sharing knowledge and support the team at every level from the very complex to the very routine.

  1. Schedule staff and partner’s meetings, coordinate the agenda and take minutes accordingly.
  2. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation of monthly statements and preparation of financial reporting
  3. Support the Director and management with audit and tax planning, accounting protocols, manage petty cash and all account payables.
  4. Assist with HR/payroll related activities including tracking leave, and professional development activities.
  1. Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
  2. Computer and office skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  3. Proficiency with Quickbooks, as well as general working knowledge of accounting transactions and principles
  4. Impeccable attention to detail, deadlines and time management.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and discretion
  7. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.

  2. Ability to set and work to goals and targets, with a flexible and strategic mindset.
  3. Ability to network with wide range of people from different backgrounds, professionals and non-professionals.
  4. Experience of working in global developmental projects, NGO field and understanding of the climate change agenda.
  5. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative, with minimum supervision.
  6. Good understanding of project design, project cycle management log frame development
